My process
For this collection of paintings I focused on creatung more with less. All three of these are quite simple, with small focal points featuring a pop of color, set in front of a blue gradient background. With the constraints of less is more, it was difficult to create movement in the compositions.
To solve this problem, I tried to create a sense of where each of these vehicles had come from. The floating car is a straight shot off of one of the mountains, implying that it drove from there. Similarly, the wake of the blat depicts its path and where it is going in the future. The idea of an image capturing a range of time, depicting where something has come from and where it's going, interested me and prompted my design choices.
