My Process

This is a master copy of a famous Jonas Wood painting. His painting style really inspired me. I found it really interesting how he was able to create such detail with simple brushstrokes. Some of his painting almost look cartoon like, but the extensive detail produces a highly defined scene.

This painting in particular resonated with me. A golf connoisseur myself, this painting brings a lot of memories and emotions. I really like the way he represents this beautiful course with abstract shaped and blocky strokes. The simple geometric shapes that make up the details of the scene make for an interesting look

This style of painting is something I try to emulate in some pieces by combining simpler shaped to create a detailed and layered composition.
